Background
Lars is a Black-Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (2nd degree) with 17 years experience in BJJ, Grappling & MMA. As a member at the Gracie Academy in Torrence (15 years) he was the sparring-partner for many of Royce Gracies MMA-fights. As a student of the Martial Arts for over 35 years he has been coached by the following Masters: Istvan Hambalek (Judo), Håkan Nygren (Kyukushin Karate), Gudni Gudnasson (Kime Waza) ,Helio Gracie, Rorion Gracie, Relson Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Rolker Gracie, Royler Gracie, Royce Gracie, Robin Gracie, Ryron Gracie, Rener Gracie, "Caique", Fabio Santos, Saulo Ribeiro , Steve Maxwell.
He was born and raised in Vikingstad (Sweden). In -91 he moved to Los Angeles and started training under the Gracies. In -96 he opened his first school in Santa Claritha and today he runs his own BJJ 4 MMA organization called "Team Lars Wallin" (LWBJJ) . LWBJJ has schools in Sweden & US and we are preparing a new generation of BJJ/ MMA fighters under the motto "Points are 4 Pussies, Lock'em out or Knock'em out!"
A spine injury halted Lars MMA-plans 3 days before his fight at "King of the Cage" (KOTC) He holds a 3-0-0 MMA record. In BJJ he has won US Nationals , Copa Pacifica , Gracie Open Invitational, IGJJF Championships ,Machados Grappling Challenge and many more. As a competitor he has only been tapped by Rener Gracie.
The methods taught at LWBJJ contains over 200 unique submissions & techniques. In Europe "Team Lars Wallin" is represented by his Blackbelt-instructors Magnus Angstrom and Anders Thelin.
